At the WEI Offshore Conference, students take the stage in our Thesis in Three competition, where they must present their research in just three minutes. This fast-paced challenge pushes participants to distil complex ideas into clear, compelling presentations, helping them sharpen their communication skills while engaging with key industry stakeholders.
The research element of the Annual Conference is always a highlight for us. It’s an area we’re passionate about and delighted to support, as it provides an excellent platform for researchers and students to:
– Showcase innovative research to industry leaders, policymakers, and academics
– Gain visibility and connect with experts across the renewables sector
– Be part of Ireland’s leading forum for renewable energy innovation
in 2026 we were thrilled to present the Best Research Poster Award to Angel Encalada-Davila from University College Dublin. Angel’s poster, “Physics‑Constrained Graph Learning for Population‑Based Monitoring of Wind Farms”, exemplified the exceptional talent and innovation shaping the future of wind energy.
